Straight after our small event in The Hague, we started a one-month journey to turn Hostel Room Rotterdam into a naughty dance floor for an evening. September the 27th was set to be that day. Together with Royal Surf Club, we threw our biggest event up to date; Naughty Banana Party. DJs from both Rotterdam and The Hague were spinning records all evening and a lot of Rotterdammers, both locals and internationals, came to celebrate Pride with us at Hostel Room. One of those talented DJs is Sydney Rahimtoola, originally from New York City, but now living in The Hague after completing her studies at KABK.
DJ Miri Floores
On the 23rd November we hosted our biggest event to date (together with Royal Surf Club and Miriam Flores); A 12 HOUR RAVE. Sometime in October 2019, Carlos met Miriam Flores at an event. Miriam is a Brazilian techno DJ that moved to the city of Rotterdam over 20 years ago. She recently bought an old cargo boat, drove it to the city, and turned it into her house. After checking out its massive and unused hold, there was no way we could not throw a party here. Another two-month journey started with the goal of turning the ship into the most unique dance floor in town. The Naughty Boat Party project was born.
DJ Börk – Royal Surf Club
December 13th, 2019. Royal Surf Club, Every day is Friday, and many more art initiatives host ‘Life After the Warm Up’. A club in The Hague is turned into an underground beach club with 5 tons of sand with an innovative DJ booth in the middle of the space and an artificial sun to create day-to-night cycles throughout the party. Here is Berk Duygun again. We already filmed him back in August when we hosted our first party. But today’s track selection is all about RAVES. ”Börk draws his inspiration from mashup and dystopic cyberculture. Introducing us to the hallucenative as well as the desolate aspects of both cultures. He uses existing material as well as some of his b-side productions.”

The Grey Space in the Middle is turned into an underground beach club with 5 tons of sand with an innovative DJ booth in the middle of the space and an artificial sun to create day-to-night cycles throughout the party. Today we are continuing our exploration of South Hollands dance scene with HEF Collective’s set. ”HEF Collective is a selection of Rotterdam’s freshest new talents from the underground electronic scene, housing multiple artists with styles from Techno to House and back.”
